What is a Cut shot in Volleyball?
A cut shot is an attacking spike hit at a sharp cross-court angle, almost parallel to the net. Used to find the gap between the line defender and the back-court diggers.
Example in a match
You jump for the spike. Instead of hitting straight ahead, you angle a cut shot sharp into the opposite sideline.
