What is a Rail in Squash?
A rail (or "drive") is a shot hit straight down the side wall, hugging it. The fundamental defensive shot in squash because a tight rail is hard to attack.
Example in a match
You hit a forehand rail down the right wall. The ball travels parallel to the wall, leaving your opponent no angle.
