What is a Tin in Squash?
The tin is the metal or wooden strip across the bottom of the front wall. Any shot that hits the tin is out of play (a fault). The tin keeps players from playing every shot extremely low.
Example in a match
You attempt a low drop shot. The ball hits the tin. Your opponent wins the rally.
