Work Social Sport Group

The number one reason a recurring after-work sports group for colleagues fails is logistics. The format works, the venue works, the people show up — and then the day of the event becomes a juggling act. Volley is built specifically to handle the juggling.

What you actually need

Volley handles the four hard parts of any sports event: registration (with paid entries via Apple Pay / Google Pay), bracket generation (single elim, round robin, or pool play), live scoring (sport-specific rules per match), and ELO ratings (so the day produces lasting value beyond the result).

Three steps: create the event, share the link, run the matches. Volley handles the bracket, the scoring, the standings, the payments, and the communication. You handle the venue and the players showing up.

How to set it up in Volley

Open the app, tap "Create event", pick the format, share the link. Volley does the rest.

For paid events: toggle the entry fee, set the price, link your payout account. Players pay through Apple Pay / Google Pay / card when they register. You see who's paid in real time.

Free on iOS and Android

Volley is free on iOS and Android. Set up your event in 5 minutes.

Frequently asked questions

Does Volley generate brackets automatically?

Yes. Pick a format (single elimination, round robin, or pool play), enter your players, generate. Volley handles seeding, byes for non-power-of-2 fields, and live updates as matches finish.

Do all participants need the Volley app?

No. You can run the whole event from one phone using the in-app scorekeeper. Players don't need to download anything. Or share the join link and let participants score their own matches — both flows work.

How quickly can I set up an event?

About 5 minutes for a small event. Pick the sport, format, date, and (optional) entry fee, then share the join link. Players add themselves. Done.
